The Pacific Rim, Vancouver Island
Here are some pictures from our short visit on the west coast of the Vancouver Island. We began with a short hike in the Rainforest, part of the Pacific Rim National Park. Then we walked along Long Beach, on our way to Tofino. We had our lunch in Tofino, in a very beautifully located restaurant. We ended our stay here in Ucluelet where we discovered the beauty of the Wild Pacific Trail.

Tofino is a very touristy town, we did not have much patience to explore it in detail. However, there was one place that we really wanted to see – The Pointe Restaurant at the Wickaninnish Inn. It has a large, round room right on the ocean with huge windows. You sit at a table inside the building and you are surrounded by the gorgeous view of the ocean and of the Wickaninnish Beach.

For me the little town of Uculuelet is much more interesting because of the presence of Native peoples…
… and because of the Wild Pacific Trail, and the stunning views that it offers:
