L’île Saint- Honorat

You can take this boat from Cannes to the Île Saint-Honorat, second largest of the Lerins Islands, and you will find yourself in a completely different world:

The island is very small, there are no cars, no roads on it.

Saint Honorat island is a haven of peace, freshness and serenity, surrounded by turquoise waters. It welcomes visitors with its medieval fortified monastery, old stone chapels, cannonball ovens scattered all over the island and the insular wildlife and flora.

For the last sixteen centuries, the island has been home to the monks of Lerins Abbey who live to the rythm of the community and monastic life, respecting the rule of Saint Benedict based on prayer (ora) and work (labora).

The island is now known for its wines, produced the ancestral way by the monks on an 8 hectare vineyard.

The island is very charming and worth a visit.
