Reykjavik celebrates its culture
We only had a chance to see the capital of Iceland at night. Here it is
And on Saturday, August 20, we had a chance to participate in Reykjavik’s Culture Night:
Culture Night or ‘Menningarnótt’ is a one day festival taking place in Reykjavík, on a Saturday normally around the 20th of August. Dance, design, music, art, concerts, games, pop-up shops and all sorts of interactive activities happen all over town. Galleries and museums are open (most, if not all, with free entry). The Reykjavík marathon takes place on the same day.
Several concerts take place in different parts of the city.
The streets were filled with hundreds of people who were mostly blond.
A tip: People open up their houses and invite guests to come in and have some home baked waffles for free – so it’s a good way to get to know the locals and see someone’s home.

Thank you Jane for your sweet comment, I am sure your trip will be amazing. Iceland is still a very mystical place, worth discovering on your own. Polish language is very useful there. Enjoy reading about the country and dreaming about your trip!!!!
