Danevski’s Private Commissions
Hello my dear blog readers, together with this group of beautiful people, I had an honour to see more of Georgi Danevski’s work. This time in a private home. He is currently painting a mural in his friends’ house, in a nice neighbourhood in Toronto. The owners of the house have several of his paintings but the most impressive are the frescoes in the dining room and in the basement.
It took Georgi a year to paint this ceiling: a combination of different scenes filled with angels, saints, historical, mythical and religious figures. Let’s have a closer look at them.
The ballerina in this scene is our famous Canadian ballet dancer: Karen Kain.
Here is the artist himself with my friend Sheena in front of his painting.
Now we are going to see another mural painting, the one he is currently working on. You will notice that some parts are not finished yet.
What a wonderful adventure it was for us to meet the author of these paintings and his good friends. I would like to thank them for welcoming us in their home. We are touched by their kindness and generosity.
Wspaniale.
Dzieki Bozenko!
What an interesting home Joanna. I see George was part of your group. Was this a scripture study group representaiton?
No, I had a chance to meet Danewski and his friend who owns the house. I mentioned this visit to George and he decided to join us.
